President Buhari, Barack Obama Congratulate Trump on His Victory

President Muhammadu Buahri has congratulated President-elect of the United States of America, Donald Trump on his victory in the poll.
Buhari made this known via his Twitter handle on Wednesday.
“On behalf of the Govt and people of Nigeria, I congratulate President-elect Donald Trump on his victory in the US presidential election. I look forward to working together with President-elect Trump to build on and strengthen relations between Nigeria & the USA,” the president stated.
Also, U.S. President Barack Obama has congratulated his successor, Donald Trump, in a phone call and invited him to the White House.
His office said in a statement on Wednesday in Washington that meeting with Trump was planned for Thursday.
Obama also called Hillary Clinton and “expressed admiration for the strong campaign she waged throughout the country”.
The president would make a statement from the White House later on Wednesday to discuss the election results and “what steps we can take as a country to come together after this hard-fought election season”.
The White House said that “ensuring a smooth transition of power” is one of Obama’s top priorities.
